The Strathallan Golf Club:

One of the things we love at Tredam is discovering hidden gems, Strathallan Golf Club is certainly that and what makes it even better is it's a completely volunteer run golf courses, this 9 hole course is hidden away in Bundoora, but one thing is for sure, it's worth a visit.

That's not the only time you'll be faced with trees on the fairway, the 270m par 4 3rd sounds easy enough but with two giant trees in your way, its a real challenge.

We love unique golf courses and some of the holes are unique and downright challenging, like the uphil 420m Par 4 4rd hole, if the hole wasn't long enough, they decided to put a giant tree in the middle of the fairway, couple that with a blind second shot and you've got a great hole.

The last hole is a really nice, dog leg to the left par 4, its not an easy tee shot, hit driver and you could run through the fairway, hit iron and you could be too far back from the dog leg, the view of the city skyline is a bonus too.

Conclusion

We love these hidden gems, they're great courses that need more attention than they get and the fact that it's volunteer run just makes it all the more impressive, we recommend it if you're in the area.
