The Sandringham Golf Club:

Driving into the Sandringham Golf Course its clear that this is a premium experience, you drive right past the enormous putting green and the giant golf australia building

Having played this course years ago it was quite difficult to recognise the layout, and one thing really stood out to me, they have embraced their name of Sandy Links, there are bunkers EVERYWHERE

Its not just the bunkers that will get your attention at Sandy Links, the greens are fantastic, they are massive and firm but fair, you will find yourself with some really long putts, its a lot of fun

The greens have also been set up in a way to make you think, some of the pin placements when we played were right behind a hill, if you go stright at the hole the ball will kick forward off the green, the clever thing is that its not easy to see that off the tee.

Conclusion

With Royal Melbourne next door taking owenrship of the course the quality level has gone through the roof, most of us would kill to get a round on Royal Melbourne but this might be as close as we get, and that's okay because its a fantastic course in its own right.
