2023 Callaway Supersoft Review:

We loved the previous version of the Supersoft, it may have been a little to soft if we were going to pick a fault with it, so we thought it would be a great idea to break out the old box of supersoft and compare them to the 2023 version.

After hitting only a few drives it became very apparent that the latest iteration of the supersoft was a little firmer than the previous version, which for us was a great improvment, giving the ball a little more distance off the tee.

We then turned our attention to the short game, hitting from 70 meters in I noticed that the old ball would lift faster, feel softer and spin more on the green, the new version again felt firmer, the spin is reduced but I think that's a good thing, its got enough spin to stop but also not too much that it'll suck back off a wet green.

Conclusion

The biggest improvment for me is not the little bit of extra distance off the tee, its the increase in penetration you get with the longer irons, most of us middle handicappers struggle with the long irons so any help there is a great help, my major complaint with the previus version was that at times it was too soft, well, they have certainly fixed that issue, this ball is easily one of the best value balls for the mid-handicapper.
